I studied for the spring semester at the UNNC campus (University of Nottingham Ningbo China), and produced this design project in response to our site in Shanghai, a residential area surrounding the historic tudor-style Hudec villa, the former residence of Hungarian-Slovak architect László Hudec.

The Hudec Sculpture Park and Gallery will provide the Changning District of Shanghai with an engaging public park surrounding the historic Hudec villa, featuring immersive sculptures and installations which visitors can interact with. Underneath the park is the sculpture gallery and exhibition space, events space, sculpture workshop, classroom and café, accessed through the lobby at ground level or via the sunken garden. The project encourages a wider appreciation of sculpture, through tactical interaction, taught classes and public events. |
